He weaves this experience into his chapters about how the environment, Big Tech, children and parenting, diet, and other factors are ruining our focus. Author Johann Hari recounts his own personal experience "disconnecting" from his phone, TV, and Internet for three months after many years of constant digital stimulation from his work and personal habits.
